and emotional to paint. It took a long time to finish. When white fellas
first settled on Adjahdura land, massacres frequently
happened
on
this country. Sometimes there
were survivors, who's tracks can be seen in this painting, escaping to
warn other camps. In the first 30 years of white fella settlement 80%
of the black fellas were wiped out - either by introduced diseases or
by the bullet.
